A huge crowd turned out under rainy skies last night for the opening of Ian Strange – Island at the Fremantle Art Centre. There were bits of deconstructed houses, large scale photos of his work along with interesting paperwork and photographs found in the abandoned houses that he’s used as canvases.  One that stood out was the sweet / wild galloping cat in the series of his small pastel works on vintage photos.
