Daikanyama T-Site

If you’re ever in Tokyo an absolute must see is the very cool Daikanyama T-Site.  Recently named one of the top 20 most beautiful bookstores in the world this architectural wonder is themed around the idea of ‘a library in the woods’.  Amongst the new books for purchase there is also an archive of over 30,000 magazines from the 60’s and 70’s.

Three ‘t’ covered building wings connect together along Magazine Street, a 55-meter long aisle that cuts through the middle at ground level. This design by Klein Dytham Architecture was the winning submission from among 80 firms and we have to say the right choice was made – this place is truly amazing!
