It’s a new year!
We had a great break, hope you did too. While on holiday’s we came across this amazing work recently on show at the ICA in Boston by Swiss textile artist Elsi Giauque.
The piece titled ‘Pure Spatial Element’ from 1979 is made on 3ft square metal frames, kind of like a simple frame loom and takes the concept of weaving to a whole new level.
The installation of the panels is infinitely changeable so it can look different every time it’s displayed.
