Trained animator and cardboard magician Vera van Wolferen combines her two talents to make amazing animated short films with her sculptures. The dutch artist also makes beautiful lamps along with all sorts of other creations using recycled card. She crafts her works completely by hand, measuring and assembling them piece by piece.

Vera has a long romance with cardboard and says via her website, “When I was little my mother used to bring home big boxes for me to play with. I transformed them into houses, post offices, and dollhouses. Today I use cardboard to make props for my stop motion animations and cardboard lamps.” If only they were life size – they’d be a great place for a holiday!
